Thomas J. Bolt

Teaching: Professor Bolt teaches Greek and Latin languages at all levels and the history and culture of ancient Greece and Rome.

Research: Professor Bolt’s work focuses on changes in aesthetic thought and humor during Rome’s transition to authoritarian rule. He has also published on Latin in modern horror films and its literary history. He is a digital humanist whose computational research combines quantitative and humanistic methodologies to analyze Latin and ancient Greek literature.
